It's amazing how many doors open to you when you are willing to ask for what you want, and you ask in the right way.

Some examples of opportunities I've gotten through my career because I've put in the time and effort to make a good "ask":

• A job offer for my "dream job" after the company initially rejected my application
• Had the Taylor Otwell join a Q&A for my local meetup
• Qualified my start up for a grant when it didn't meet the requirements
• Early access to Filament V3
• Published two series on Laracasts
• Got a speaking slot at the National Alliance to End Homelessness conference

I will provide specific strategies anyone can use to identify what they truly want, then go get it.

The spirit of the talk will be very similar in style to Aaron Francis' "Publishing Your Work" talk from Laracon 2023. Viewers will come away feeling both motivated and equipped with concrete strategies to move their tech career forward.
