Scroll-Driven Animations with CSS
Duration
40m
A new and upcoming addition to the Web Platform are Scroll-Driven Animations. With it, you can control the playback of an animation through the action of scrolling. This means that as you scroll up and down, the linked animation will move forward or backward. This can either be based on the scroll offset of a scroll container (ScrollTimeline) or on the relative position of an element within its scroll container (ViewTimeline).
By dissecting a bunch of demos and tools, this talk practically approaches the features this spec has to offer and how to use them in combination with the CSS Animations and Web Animations APIs.
