December 28, 2022 Launching Eventy

Today we're proud to announce the launch of Eventy, a new event platform aimed at connecting the dots between speakers, user groups, conferences, and attendees. For the past year, we've been working hard to make sure we could ship with a product you'll love to use.

We, as event organizers ourselves, know firsthand how difficult it can be to connect all of the dots between the different parts of organizing events like conferences or local user groups. From this, we started thinking about creating a platform aimed at solving a lot of these common frustrations and building something that would help everyone involved in these undertakings.

To start, we'll be launching our speakers' module, aimed at making the lives of speakers easier. Now, speakers have a central place where they can keep track of their talks and workshops as well as a place to create a public speaker profile, share their talk slides and get visibility in a public search. Event organizers can make use of the public search to find speakers for their next events.

A public speaker profile provides you with all the info you need about a speaker. Where they're from, their bio, how to contact them (if they're available to speak at the time) and what their current offerings of talks and workshops are. Speakers can at any time hide specific talks or workshops they don't want to share anymore or even disable their entire speaker profile.

We're also happy to share that our speakers' module will be free for all speakers. We want to empower speakers with tools they can use to help them with their speaking careers, whether you're a seasoned speaker or only just beginning. Therefore we're opening up our speakers' module to everyone, free of charge.

This is just the first step we're undertaking. In the future we aim for Eventy to become a platform that connects all parts of the event experience, making it a powerful platform where you can share information, build communities, communicate with each other and so much more.

If you're a speaker you can sign up right now and start building your speaker profile. Add your talks and share them through a public link. If you have slides for your talk, upload them to share them after or even before you give a talk.

If you're an event organizer you can start using the public search in search of your next speaker for your event. Then, contact them through the contact link on their profile.
